Description

This is a Full time, benefited Lead OR RN position at the Ambulatory surgery center (Ximed) at La Jolla Memorial hospital. It is has an 8 hour day shift. No weekends, holidays or call.

Incentives up to $7K for eligible new hires.

Join our Ambulatory Surgery Department team as a Lead Registered Nurse (RN) at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla. You will:

Provides direct patient care within the scope of his/her practice. Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care and evaluating patients'' progress towards expected outcomes. The RN takes primary responsibility for the patients'' care as delivered by the Care Team under his/her supervision. Works collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met:

• Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)
• Must remain in original department/specialty
• Must remain in original Job Title
• Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:

• Registered nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing.

• California Registered Nurse License

• One (1) year of recent surgery or operating room RN experience

• Current American Heart Association BLS provider certification

• Current American Heart Association ACLS provider certification

• Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English

• Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.

Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:

• Bachelor''s degree in nursing
• 3 years or more experience in Nursing experience is preferred
• 2 years or more of related experience
• CNOR certificate
• Leadership experience
