What We Offer:
Schedule: 7P-7A, night shift. Full-time (36 hours). Requires every third weekend. This unit does self scheduling!

Location: Kernersville Medical Center, Kernersville NC
Unit Info: This unit opened in March of 2024, it's a low risk level I, 12 bed unit. Patients labor, deliver & recover in the same room. This team consists of RN's, Surg Techs, Lactation Consultants, and a dedicated OB Anesthesiologist as well as a 24/7 neonatal NP and respiratory.
Requirements: Previous L&D experience is required for this position.

What We're Looking For:
Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.
Licensure/certification/registration: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
What You'll Do:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to women during labor, delivery, immediate recovery, and postpartum periods.
Assess, monitor, and document maternal and fetal status throughout labor
Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in maternal and fetal conditions, escalating concerns to providers as needed.
Assist providers during vaginal & caesarean deliveries and stabilize mother and newborn immediately following birth.
Monitor mothers during the recovery period for complications such as hemorrhage, infection, pain management needs, and changes in vital signs.
Serve as a patient advocate while ensuring a safe and positive birth experience.
