RN - Labor & Delivery (LD)

Provides skilled nursing care to patients in the Labor & Delivery unit, supporting mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. Collaborates with physicians and the multidisciplinary care team to promote safe, high-quality patient outcomes.

Title: RN – Labor & Delivery (L&D)
Location Options: California – Modesto, Santa Rosa, Vacaville, Sacramento, Roseville
Duration: 13-Week Contract (Possible extensions)
Shift Options:

• 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM
• 07:00 PM to 07:30 AM

 
Local Rate: $85/hr (W2)
Travel Pay: $3600/weekly
 
Summary:
Provides skilled nursing care to patients in the Labor & Delivery unit, supporting mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. Collaborates with physicians and the multidisciplinary care team to promote safe, high-quality patient outcomes.
 
Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
• Monitor maternal and fetal status, recognize changes in condition, and promptly communicate concerns to the care team.
• Assist with labor management, delivery procedures, and emergency interventions as needed.
• Educate and support patients and families throughout the labor and delivery process.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and follow hospital policies, safety standards, and clinical protocols.

 
Requirements:

• 1 year of recent full-time equivalent L&D/RN experience within the last 3 years.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) California license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
• AWHONN certification/training.
