Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Administrative RN Coordinator is a Registered Nurse who combines clinical expertise with operational and administrative coordination to support the Interventional Pulmonary Program. This role is responsible for coordinating patient care, managing workflows, facilitating communication among multidisciplinary teams, and supporting program operations to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care using the nursing process in accordance with professional nursing standards and ANA guidelines.
- Coordinate patient scheduling, referrals, and care navigation within the Interventional Pulmonary Program.
- Serve as a liaison between patients, providers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Oversee patient care workflows and support clinic operations, efficiency, and patient experience initiatives.
- Participate in quality improvement, evidence-based practice, patient advocacy, and resource utilization activities.
- Collaborate with providers and staff to optimize patient outcomes, safety, and operational effectiveness.
Additional Requirements
- Travel between Westwood and Santa Monica office locations is required.

- RN Current California RN License
- BSN or MSN
- BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Greater than 6 months nursing experience
- Ability to complete a Nursing physical assessment
- Skill in developing a plan of care including setting goals, monitoring and documenting progress
- Ability to implement interventions that are pertinent to goals established in the plan of care
- Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions toward the attainment of established goals and to recognize the need to reassess or reset goal parameters
- Ability to delegate tasks in a management style that is consistent with promoting leadership and teamwork
- Knowledge base to provide education to patients, families, and other staff regarding clinical and patient care issues
- In-depth knowledge of one or more clinical specialty areas, to include diagnoses, treatments, standards of practice and patient / family educational consulting and resources
- Advanced skills in assessing patient's grievances and locating appropriate resources to get issues resolved. Skills to intervene and assist with patient's questions or concerns about treatment plan
- Ability to work in a complex, multi-divisional environment with the skills to establish priorities, set objectives and achieve stated goals.
- Ability to utilize project management tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Clear and concise communication skills to teach patients about complex, sensitive clinical issues
- Proficiency with Windows-based software including Microsoft word, Excel, Outlook. Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area.
- Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide education, training, and direction to nursing staff, and to develop positive working relationships with patients, families, employees, and outside agencies as required.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to assess highly-complex issues and develop multiple options for resolution
- Strong skills in written and verbal communications, with the ability to convey complex and / or sensitive information in a clear and concise
