    Job Summary:
    The ICU Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care to critically ill patients requiring close monitoring and advanced medical interventions. The RN works closely with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate patient care.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assess, monitor, and care for critically ill patients.
    • Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, neurological status, and other clinical parameters.
    • Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and treatments as ordered.
    • Manage and monitor ventilators, IV infusions, and other critical-care equipment.
    • Recognize changes in patient condition and respond promptly to emergencies.
    • Assist with procedures and provide support during resuscitation when required.
    • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
    • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding patient care.
    • Educate and support patients and their families as appropriate.
    • Follow infection-control, patient-safety, and hospital policies.
    • Participate in quality-improvement and patient-care initiatives.

    Qualifications:

    • Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
    • Nursing degree from an accredited program.
    • Current BLS certification.
    • ACLS certification typically required for ICU roles.
    • Previous ICU/critical-care experience preferred.

    Required Skills:

    • Strong critical-thinking and clinical assessment skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple critically ill patients in a fast-paced environment.
    • Knowledge of critical-care medications, equipment, and procedures.
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
    • Ability to respond calmly and effectively to emergencies.

    Work Schedule:

    • 12-hour shifts are common.
    • May include, weekends, and holidays.
