    JOB SUMMARY:


    The House Administrator is responsible for assisting with organizing, planning, leading, and directing clinical and management activities for the House Administrators.  This role contributes to organizational operations by acting as House Administrator, is accountable for daily supervision of patient/nursing care delivery by licensed and unlicensed personnel and is responsible for throughput of all patient care areas.  The House Administrator participates as a member of the health care team in maintaining continuity and quality of patient care. This position reports to the Manager, Nursing – House Supervisors. 


     


    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


    Education:    



    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

    • BSN required


                        


    Experience:   



    • Two years in charge or leadership position within last five years in a hospital setting

    • Five years recent nursing experience

    • Clinical knowledge as a Registered Nurse in the same or similar clinical specialty preferred        


    Licensure or Certification:



    • Active RN license in Ohio

    • BCLS required at time of hire

    • ACLS required at time of hire

    • PALS –  required within six months


     


    Equipment/Skills:         



    • Use of general patient care equipment and communication equipment.

    • Use of unit-specific equipment (computers, copiers, etc.). 

    • Good telephone and communication skills.

    • Ability to adapt to changes in health care technology. 

    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
