Job Summary:
Under general supervision of the nursing supervisor, utilizes the knowledge and application of nursing principles to provide direct patient care in the home.
Assesses need for other allied health care services such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, nutrition, speech pathology and social work, to ensure an integrated home health care delivery system.
Performs other related duties as required.
Skills:
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum of nine months of clinical nursing experience.
Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families and hospital personnel.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required in order to interact effectively with individuals from various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
Must be able to lift, carry, transport and move clients, if needed.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Acute care experience, preferred.
Education:
Required Education:
Successful completion of a registered nursing program accredited by the National League of Nursing.
Certification & Licensure:
Current licensure by the State of Michigan as a registered nurse.
BLS
Must possess a current State of Michigan driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
Must have reliable transportation and a telephone.

Schedule Notes:
17-week contract with strong potential to convert based on performance Candidates will be supporting the Home Health department with the patient load in Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties.
They should anticipate a case load of approximately 6 patient visits per day with an average of 40-60 miles driven per day.
Orientation will be 2-4 weeks depending on individual acuity and will take place at 1 Ford Place as well as in the field with a preceptor.
Required:
Current MI RN licensure, BLS certification through AHA, Minimum of 1 year of Home Health RN experience, current valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
