Position Overview
We are seeking an RN Float Pool nurse to provide safe, evidence-based nursing care across different patient populations and clinical settings.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Ohio RN License or Compact RN License.

  • Diploma of Nursing.

  • BLS – American Heart Association.

  • Acute care Telemetry experience.

  • Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and clinical decision-making skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

  • BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, evidence-based, age-specific, and culturally appropriate nursing care.

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and identify actual or potential nursing problems.

  • Develop, prioritize, coordinate, and revise individualized plans of care.

  • Communicate patient information effectively using SBAR and appropriate handoff processes.

  • Implement nursing interventions according to physician orders, assessed needs, and standards of care.

  • Delegate nursing responsibilities appropriately while maintaining accountability for patient outcomes.

  • Provide patient and family education in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.

  • Respond appropriately to emergency situations.

  • Initiate discharge planning and make appropriate referrals based on patient needs.

  • Follow infection prevention and safety procedures.

  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.

  • Participate in continuing professional development and maintain clinical competency.
