Overview
Maintains established standards of care, policies, objective, and goals in administering professional nursing care to all patients. The RN identifies patient needs and priorities for care though assessment. The RN plans and delegates care based on patient needs. The RN evaluates the patient's response to care and the attainment of or progress toward expected outcomes. The RN is accountable for outcomes of patient care delivered during the assigned shift. The Float RN will serve as a resource for the ED, ICU and Med Surg Units.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
- Current Alabama or Multistate nursing license required.
- BLS for Healthcare Providers must be obtained within 3 months of orientation period.
- ACLS must be obtained within the first six months of employment and maintained current.
- PALS obtained within the first six months of employment and maintained current.
- MOAB must be obtained within 6 months of the orientation period.
