Position Overview
We are seeking a Registered Nurse/RNFA with strong perioperative experience to provide RNFA support and function in both scrub and circulating roles across a range of surgical procedures.
Required Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) with RN First Assistant (RNFA) experience.
Minimum 3 years of scrub and circulating experience.
Proficiency in robotic and traditional surgical procedures.
Strong experience with bariatric surgery.
Experience with general and colorectal surgery.
Experience with orthopedic/spine procedures.
Experience with vascular procedures.
Experience with urology procedures.
Experience with gynecology procedures.
Ability to work either a 4x10 or 3x12 schedule.
Current clinical credentials and certifications required for the position.
Responsibilities
Provide RNFA support during surgical procedures.
Function effectively in both scrub and circulating roles.
Assist surgical teams with robotic procedures.
Support bariatric, general, colorectal, orthopedic/spine, vascular, urology, and gynecology procedures.
Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies according to procedure requirements.
Maintain sterile technique and ensure adherence to infection prevention and surgical safety standards.
Assist with patient positioning, preparation, and transfer while maintaining patient safety.
Anticipate the needs of surgeons and other members of the surgical team.
Assist with surgical counts and maintain accurate documentation throughout procedures.
Monitor patients and respond appropriately to changes in condition.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Follow facility policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Provide safe, patient-centered care throughout the perioperative process.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
