Job Title: Travel RN Emergency Room (ER)
Location: Moreno Valley, CA 92555
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift | 3x12s | 36 Hours/Week
Pay Local: $55 - $65/ hr
Pay Travel: $2300 - $2800 Gross weekly

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Moreno Valley, CA. The ideal candidate will have extensive Emergency Department experience in a high-acuity acute care setting, including Level I Trauma experience, and be comfortable treating patients across all age groups.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing reassessments.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications safely following the seven rights of medication administration.
• Monitor and document patient responses to treatments and interventions.
• Perform emergency nursing procedures using sterile technique and infection control standards.
• Interpret diagnostic results and communicate significant clinical changes promptly.
• Utilize SBAR during patient handoffs.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary patient care.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and emergency patient flow.
• Respond effectively to emergency situations including Code Blue and Rapid Response.
• Follow hospital policies, National Patient Safety Goals, and Core Measures.
• Document accurately in Epic EMR.

Minimum Qualifications

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Minimum 4 years of Emergency Department experience
• Level I Trauma experience required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent Travel RN experience
• Experience in an acute care hospital with 40+ beds
• Experience caring for patients from newborn through geriatric populations
• Some Pediatric Emergency experience required
• Epic EMR experience highly preferred
• Traveler must live 50 miles or more from the facility

Required Certifications

• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• CPI Certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• TNCC or ATCN
