    Contract Details

    • Position Type: Contract
    • Contract Duration: 3 months
    • Shift / Schedule: PM 12hr nights, 7:00 PM 7:30 AM; 48 hours/week; 2 weekends in a 4-week schedule period; every other holiday
    • Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

    Job Summary

    This is a contract RN position in a very busy Emergency Department serving 350 440 patients per day, with up to 120 treatment areas. Travelers will not be placed in trauma rooms while on assignment at the facility. The role requires flexibility with floating to adjacent areas, including the Psych ED and Pedi ED (caring for patients age 15 in Pedi unless the candidate has previous Pedi experience). Candidates who reside less than 50 miles from the facility will be placed at a local rate.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide nursing care in a high-volume Adult Emergency Department
    • Float to areas including Psych ED and Pedi ED as required (caring for age 15 patients in Pedi ED unless previous Pedi experience is held)
    • Independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and identify heart blocks
    • Pass a Telemetry Test on Day 1 (minimum score: 85%)
    • Manage a patient ratio of 1:4 5 patients depending on acuity

    Required Experience

    • Minimum of 1.5 years of recent Level I or II ED experience, and/or 2 years of recent Level 3/4 ED experience

    Nice-to-Have Experience

    • EPIC experience
    • Previous travel assignments
    • Critical care experience

    Required Skills

    • Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and identify heart blocks
    • Flexibility to float to Psych ED and Pedi ED areas

    Education Requirements

    • MA Licensed RN (required)
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be active/unexpired
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) must be active/unexpired
    • Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) must be active/unexpired
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) must be active/unexpired
    • Government-issued identification with mailing address (required)

    Work Environment / Physical Requirements

    • Very busy ED environment serving 350 440 patients per day with up to 120 treatment areas
    • 48-hour night shift schedule (36-hour contracts considered but 48-hour preferred)
    • 2 weekends required in every 4-week schedule period; every other holiday required
    • Floating required to Psych ED and Pedi ED
    • Travelers will not be placed in trauma rooms

    Important Notes

    • Must be able to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and pass a Telemetry Test on Day 1 with a minimum score of 85%
    • Candidates residing less than 50 miles from the facility will be placed at a local rate
    • Will consider 36-hour contracts, but 48-hour contracts are preferred
