A 280-bed acute care facility in West Palm Beach, FL — with a 124-bed behavioral health unit, an Advanced Primary Certified Stroke Center, and a full range of surgical, critical care, and outpatient services — is seeking a Director of Patient Safety (RN). A core function of this role is initiating and overseeing a comprehensive patient safety improvement program — including data analysis, trending, and reporting — that informs strategic decision-making at the highest levels.

A 280-bed acute care facility in West Palm Beach, FL — with a 124-bed behavioral health unit, an Advanced Primary Certified Stroke Center, and a full range of surgical, critical care, and outpatient services — is seeking a Director of Patient Safety (RN).

The role. Reporting to the COO, the Director of Patient Safety leads a team of one manager and four supervisors, overseeing a department of 52 FTEs. This position is responsible for driving the organization's shift from a reactive, retrospective risk management model to a proactive, prospective patient safety and harm-reduction program. The Director directs staff and clinical leaders toward process improvements aimed at eliminating medical errors and adverse patient outcomes, while championing a culture of safety throughout the facility. A core function of this role is initiating and overseeing a comprehensive patient safety improvement program — including data analysis, trending, and reporting — that informs strategic decision-making at the highest levels. This position carries a high degree of autonomy, accountability, and institutional responsibility.

What we're looking for.

• Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)
• Bachelors Degree from an accredited School of Nursing
• Minimum 3 years of clinical Quality, Performance Improvement, and/or Risk Management experience in an acute care Hospital setting and experience in all modalities
• (CPPS) Certified Professional in Patient Safety must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• Fingerprint required

Schedule. Full-time, days (no weekends).

Compensation. $56.97 - $83.50/hr plus Sign-on bonus available
