We are looking for an RN Designee who is meticulous, decisive, and committed to flawless care. Someone who can handle interruptions and distractions without ever compromising accuracy or quality.

About the Role

As an RN Designee, you are at the heart of clinical excellence. You will supervise nursing staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and monitor care to guarantee that every resident receives the highest quality service.

You are friendly and approachable — but focused. You know when to talk, when to listen, and when to act. You follow established processes consistently, yet you know when improvements can be made — always within guidelines.

Every day is different. Urgent situations arise. Families call. Residents need attention. You respond with urgency, stay organized, and ensure no details are missed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Wellness Nurses and ALSA staff, fostering teamwork, accountability, and a culture of excellence
• Collaborate closely with the ALSA Supervisor and MRC Services Coordinator to ensure coordinated, resident-centered care
• Provide accurate written and verbal reports, maintaining integrity and precision
• Ensure full compliance with all Federal and State regulations
• Conduct assessments as frequently as required by resident condition, with at least every 120 days
• Participate in QA programs to support continuous improvement and clinical excellence
• Order, store, administer, document, and dispose of medications following all regulations
• Participate in RN on-call rotation
• Train client care aides, ensuring competency through return demonstration
• Serve as a trusted liaison to families, healthcare agencies, emergency response teams, hospitals, and rehab centers
• Provide first aid as needed
• Promote collective ownership — stepping in whenever necessary to maintain quality and consistency
• Strengthen resident outcomes, family confidence, and the community’s reputation for exceptional care

Requirements

• Current Connecticut Registered Nursing License
• Minimum 2 years full-time clinical nursing experience, including at least 1 year in home health care or community health programs
• Knowledge of aging and disability issues
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow processes accurately
