Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- Working knowledge of forensics, crime lab procedures, emergency medical terminology and procedures
- Working knowledge of child welfare reporting requirements, law enforcement and judicial proceedings, and victim advocacy
- If assigned to Free-standing Emergency Departments (FED), must provide evidence of one of the following:
- Minimum one-year Emergency Department experience as a staff nurse
- Minimum one-year ICU experience as a staff nurse
Licensure, Registration, Certification:
- BLS
- One of the following:
- Current Alabama RN license
- Current Multi State RN License in accordance with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for Alabama*
*Infirmary Health abides by the NLC requirements and guidelines for the state of Alabama
- Certified as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner- (SANE-A & P)
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in nursing
- Previous leadership experience
- ACLS
- PALS
Responsibilities:
Plans, implements, coordinates, and evaluates comprehensive care for designated patients to ensure quality of care and continuity of care delivery. Maintains the SANE Program for designated Infirmary Health (IH) location, striving to improve awareness, access, and response for trauma events.
