Responsibilities
The Clinical Trainer will be responsible for designing, delivery, and evaluating training programs for healthcare professionals, with a focus on clinical skills and competencies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive training programs for healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and allied health staff, to enhance clinical skills and competencies
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify training needs and develop learning objectives aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements
- Design engaging and interactive training materials, including presentations, e-learning modules, and hands-on workshops, to facilitate effective learning experiences
- Deliver training sessions in various formats, such as in-person workshops, virtual webinars, and on-the-job coaching, ensuring content is delivered effectively to meet diverse learning styles
- Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback mechanisms, and continuously improve training programs based on results and participant feedback
- Provide individualized coaching and support to healthcare professionals to address performance gaps and enhance clinical competencies
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in healthcare education and training, and incorporate relevant updates into training programs
- Collaborate with other departments, such as HR, Quality Assurance, and Clinical Operations, to ensure alignment of training initiatives with organizational objectives and priorities
- Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and outcomes to track progress and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Act as a resource and mentor for new hires, providing guidance and support to facilitate their integration into the organization
Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Associate's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a hospital or clinical practice
- 3 years of experience in healthcare education, training, or clinical instruction
- Strong knowledge of clinical protocols, procedures, and best practices
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate learners
- Proficiency in instructional design principles and adult learning theory
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- Certification in healthcare education or training (e.g., Certified Healthcare Trainer)
