    Overview

    The Coordinator Clinical Research (CCR) is responsible for coordinating the daily clinical activities of patients enrolled on clinical trials.

    Duties will include screening potential study patient records, enrolling patients on protocol and ensuring all protocol specific tests/procedures are scheduled and complete. Ensures compliance with Institutional, IRB, FDA, and sponsor guidelines/regulations and standard operating procedure requirements.

    The CCR is also responsible for demonstrating professional demeanor and maintaining confidentiality in all interactions with both internal and external contacts.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with minimum 1 of the most recent 3 years' clinical oncology or research experience
    • Must have: • Problem solving, analytical, resource management, and creative thinking skills • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Ability to plan and schedule tasks and projects and complete them in a timely manner • Ability to delegate duties while maintaining responsibility for completion of tasks • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

    Licensure, Registration, Certification:

    • BLS
    • One of the following: • Current Alabama RN license • Current Multi State RN License in accordance with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for Alabama*

    *Infirmary Health abides by the NLC requirements and guidelines for the state of Alabama

    Desired Qualifications:

    • BSN or higher degree
    • Understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCPs) and all regulatory requirements of the FDA
    • Working knowledge of word processing and PC based programs

    Desired Licensure, Registration, Certification:

    • ACLS
    • One of the following: • Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) through the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) • Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) through the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA) certification
