    Description

    A Clinical Nurse Coordinator (Charge RN) opportunity is available on an Ortho/Neuro Trauma unit at a 585+ bed hospital in Kansas City, MO. The facility operates a Level I Trauma Center, a Primary Stroke Center, and a Chest Pain Center, among other specialty care programs.

    The role. The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care during the designated shift, serving as a frontline resource for staff and a partner to the broader management team. The CNC supports efficient patient throughput by assisting with admission and discharge processes, and contributes to ongoing assessment of care quality across the unit. Staff management responsibilities include assisting with scheduling, managing labor in alignment with patient care needs and productivity guidelines, and providing recommendations on interviewing, selection, training, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution. The CNC also supports inventory control and the appropriate management of supplies and equipment.

    What we're looking for.

    • Strong, current acute care experience in a Med-Surg setting; prior charge RN experience in acute care Med-Surg preferred, or a minimum of two years as a staff RN on a Med-Surg unit — experience must be recent and current
    • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
    • Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
    • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

    Schedule. Nights (7p–7a), rotating weekends.

    Compensation. $35.65 - $47.64/hr plus Sign-on bonus available
