The Cardiac Neuro Tele RN practices on a 27-bed unit caring for a patient population that includes medical/telemetry, neurology, cardiac, post-CABG, MI, and chest pain patients.

This 221-bed acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center in Sanford, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Cardiac Neuro Telemetry unit. The hospital provides the only full-service cardiovascular program in Seminole and West Volusia counties, encompassing open heart surgery, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, cardiac rehabilitation, and comprehensive diagnostic services.

The role. The Cardiac Neuro Tele RN practices on a 27-bed unit caring for a patient population that includes medical/telemetry, neurology, cardiac, post-CABG, MI, and chest pain patients. The nurse is responsible for the full nursing process — observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care — as well as health teaching and counseling of ill, injured, or infirm patients. The role also encompasses promotion of wellness, maintenance of health, and prevention of illness, and includes administering medications and treatments as prescribed or authorized by a licensed practitioner in accordance with Florida law.

What we're looking for.

• 1 year of recent (within the last 1–2 years) Med-Surg/Tele RN acute care experience required
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred
• Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation.
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS Certification
• NIHSS Certification must be obtained within 30 days. Required to work under NIHSS credentials RN until training certificate obtained.

Schedule. Days or Nights, both with rotating weekends.

Compensation. $30.75 - $44.68/hr plus Sign On: NO SIGN ON RELO: case by case Shift Diff: $4.50 (Nights) & $1.50 (Weekends)
