    Role Overview

    The Risk & Safety Coordinator is responsible for supporting enterprise-wide risk management, safety programs, and claims operations across multiple locations and client sites.
    This role combines safety compliance, risk analysis, claims management, and training, ensuring a proactive safety culture while minimizing workplace incidents and associated costs.

    Key Responsibilities
    Safety & Loss Control
    • Promote a safety-first culture across all locations
    • Serve as the primary safety advisor to leadership and field teams
    • Conduct on-site risk assessments to identify hazards
    • Recommend and implement corrective actions
    • Coordinate programs to reduce:
      • Workplace accidents
      • Occupational illnesses
      • Long-term risk exposure
    • Investigate accidents and injuries
    • Prepare documentation for:
      • Regulatory reviews
      • Insurance investigations
      • Legal proceedings
    • Develop prevention strategies and share lessons learned
    Claims Management
    • Manage the full claims lifecycle:
      • Intake → investigation → resolution
    • Apply risk transfer strategies to minimize costs
    • Maintain relationships with:
      • Insurance carriers
      • Claims adjusters
      • Legal counsel
    • Submit and manage First Reports of Injury
    • Participate in workers' compensation claim reviews
    • Ensure compliance with all reporting requirements
    Insurance & Workers' Compensation
    • Support insurance programs and risk mitigation strategies
    • Process certificates of insurance
    • Manage workers' compensation classifications and audits
    • Assist with client selection based on risk classification
    • Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures
    Training & Safety Programs
    • Lead safety committee initiatives
    • Develop and deliver:
      • Safety training programs
      • Awareness sessions
      • Client-specific safety protocols
    • Provide ongoing support to field teams on safety practices
    Reporting & Analysis
    • Perform monthly claims analysis and trending
    • Develop reports for leadership and stakeholders
    • Identify patterns and recommend risk reduction actions
    • Ensure data is accurate, consistent, and actionable
    Field Support
    • Provide direct support to field offices and client sites
    • Travel (~25%) for:
      • Safety inspections
      • Training sessions
      • Client engagement
    Required Qualifications
    • 2–4 years of experience in:
      • Safety management
      • Risk management
      • Claims management
    • Experience in industries such as:
      • Staffing
      • Construction
      • Manufacturing
      • Industrial environments
    • Working knowledge of:
      • OSHA standards
      • Incident reporting
      • Risk assessments
      • Safety audits
    • Experience with:
      • Workers' compensation processes
      • Claims handling
      • Classification codes
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
    • Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
    • Strong analytical skills (root cause analysis focus)
    • Ability to travel and perform on-site inspections
