Right of Way Specialist

Position Summary

Our client is seeking a Right of Way Specialist for a long-term contract opportunity in Greensburg, PA. The Right of Way Specialist will support land acquisition and right of way activities, including negotiations, property research, title and survey review, permitting, construction coordination, and restoration efforts for projects in a variety of locations.

This position will work closely with project teams, property owners, field agents, subcontractors, clients, and other stakeholders to support the successful execution of Right of Way projects. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple project activities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, prepare, review, and interpret land and Right of Way-related agreements, deeds, easements, leases, permits, and licenses.
  • Research and collect real property-related project documents.
  • Translate data from Right of Way documents into stakeholder management databases.
  • Perform quality assurance reviews of stakeholder management database entries completed by Right of Way field agents.
  • Present technical data and project information to Right of Way project teams.
  • Prepare and submit permit applications on behalf of the project team.
  • Prepare project status reports, technical reports, acquisition reports, and other project documentation for project teams and/or client management.
  • Manage document preparation and control, meeting agendas, and other project-related administrative activities.
  • Assist with subcontractor management, including reviewing contracts, invoices, and change orders.
  • Assist with presentations at public involvement meetings.
  • Support project planning, budgeting, and scheduling activities.
  • Assist in establishing and tracking critical project objectives within project parameters.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders to support the timely completion of Right of Way activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company and site safety policies and procedures.
  • Comply with all applicable company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Right of Way acquisition, relocation, eminent domain, project management, and/or real estate-related activities.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and other task-tracking or project management software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals possessing diverse skill sets in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer and client service focus.
  • Ability to manage multiple project efforts and priorities simultaneously.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Must meet the standards to qualify for and maintain company vehicle driving privileges.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with electric utility facilities or railroad projects.
  • Experience with Google Earth.
  • Familiarity with construction drawings.
  • IRWA designation or related Right of Way certification.
