Richmond Pediatrics - Advanced Practice Provider, Per Diem

Seattle Children's is proud to promote this clinical opportunity on behalf of our affiliate, Richmond Pediatrics.

We are seeking a skilled, independent, and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to deliver exceptional acute care to pediatric patients presenting to the Seattle Children's Primary Care Group.

Important Note on Employment: While Seattle Children''s is managing the promotion of this opening, selected candidates will be hired as official employees of Richmond Pediatrics.

Position Overview

In this per diem role, you will provide direct clinical care and assume primary responsibility for the management of pediatric patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries. You will work independently in a primary care clinic setting during both standard and after-hours shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct Clinical Care: Obtain comprehensive patient histories, perform physical examinations, and accurately diagnose acute conditions.
• Treatment & Management: Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests; prescribe appropriate medications; and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
• Collaboration: Partner, consult, and refer with Seattle Children''s Primary Care Group physicians, specialists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure seamless care.
• Quality & Innovation: Contribute to organizational and departmental continuous performance and quality improvement projects.
• Education: Participate in education and research efforts tailored for patients, families, and fellow healthcare team members.
• Mission Alignment: Deliver care that reflects Seattle Children''s Primary Care Group's goals, vision, philosophy, and high standards of safety.

Clinic Hours & Schedule

Because this position covers acute and after-hours care, candidates must be available to work within the following operating hours:

Monday - Friday: 1:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Saturday - Sunday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm (Weekend shifts are on a rotation)

Holidays: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm (Holiday shifts are on a rotation)

Work Experience

Required Education and Experience:

Master's degree in nursing with a concentration in a pediatric or family nurse practitioner program.

One year work experience in a pediatric or family focused clinical area.

Required Credentials:

Active, unencumbered registered nurse and advanced registered nurse practitioner licensure in the State of

Washington.

Current national certification as a pediatric or family nurse practitioner.

Active Drug Enforcement Authority registration.

At time of hire: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.

Active clinical privileges as an Allied Health Provider, Seattle Children's Hospital.

Prior to start of employment, must obtain, and maintain in good standing, medical or allied health professional

staff privileges that are not limited, revoked, suspended, conditioned, or probationary, except for normal

probationary periods due to initial appointment.

Compensation range:

$90.00 per hour
