Description

RF Engineering Technician

Responsible for troubleshooting and/or testing of company products following standard methods and procedures and adhering to established specifications, using standard laboratory equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform fundamental and repetitive tests of electronic assemblies and sub-assemblies (RF Microwave, Analog and Digital) to determine if the assemblies meet specification.
  • Setup and configuration of RF microwave test setups for both CW and Pulse applications.
  • Setup and configuration of both digital and analog subassembly test setups using standard laboratory equipment.
  • Work from schematics, specifications, sketches, or other authorized information to determine performance requirements of equipment being tested.
  • Repair, adjust, and calibrate equipment to bring it within requirements.
  • Active soldering and mechanical assembly of equipment to repair, adjust and calibrate equipment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience or 2 years Associate Degree with a minimum of 4 years prior related experience. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology highly preferred.
  • RF Devices and Microprocessor required experience. RF Test equipment: network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, etc. all required
  • RF Microwave tuning experience highly preferred.
  • RF Microwave soldering/assembly experience. J-Std certification highly preferred.
  • Costpoint, ERP systems, Microsoft Office proficiency
