Adecco is assisting a customer in Windsor who is recruiting for a Rework Technician. This is a temp to perm opportunity. The rate of pay is: $22.00 - $25.00 depending on skills and experience.
Job Duties:
As the Rework and Repair Technician (BGA/LGA), you will support the electronics manufacturing operations through the repair, rework, and modification of complex printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs). This position requires hands-on experience with BGA/LGA component removal, replacement in a fast-paced EMS environment.
Responsibilities:
•
Perform rework and repair per IPC 7711 (rework of electronic assemblies) IPC 7721 (repair and modification of electronic assemblies) workmanship criteria for SMT and Through Hole PCBAs.
•
Remove and replace BGA, LGA, QFN, and fine-pitch components
Operate BGA rework stations, soldering equipment, hot air tools, and microscopes
•
Inspection of BGA/LGA rework using x-ray equipment.
•
Read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, BOMs, and work instructions
•
Follow ESD, workmanship, and quality standards throughout the repair process
•
Support engineering changes (ECOs), modifications, and corrective actions
•
Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with customer and IPC quality standards
•
Maintain accurate documentation and repair records
•
Assist with troubleshooting and root cause analysis as needed
Required Qualifications:
•
Legally authorized to work in the U.S. in compliance with ITAR regulations
•
3+ years of electronics rework/repair experience in an EMS manufacturing environment
•
Experience with BGA/LGA rework
•
Experience with x-ray inspection
•
Strong soldering and de-soldering skills
Ability to work under microscope for extended periods
•
Ability to read technical documentation and assembly drawings
•
Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
•
Good communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications:
•
Familiarity with IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, and IPC-7711/7721 standards preferred
Education:
•
High School diploma or equivalent
