Revit BIM Modeler (Full Time, Massachusetts)
Are you a Revit production specialist with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for turning complex technology systems into precise, construction-ready documentation? Do you thrive on standards, structure, and clean drawing sets — taking ownership of the production process while working hand in hand with a collaborative, U.S.-based engineering team?
We’re looking for a BIM Modeler to join one of our clients based in Massachusetts. This is a full-time remote position, and you must be available to work in Eastern Standard Time (EST). Apply now!
BetterPros unlocks human potential by offering competitive compensation, flexibility, constant learning and growth, and the opportunity to work anywhere you want with one of our +130 active clients across the United States.
What you'll do:
Develop and maintain Revit models and Construction Document (CD) sets for security and low-voltage systems — including CCTV, access control, structured cabling, audio/visual, wireless networks, and other technology infrastructure — across SD, DD, and CD phases.
Place and document devices such as CCTV cameras, access control components, AV equipment, Wi-Fi access points, speakers, and data outlets for commercial, institutional, healthcare, education, and public sector projects.
Produce and update floor plans, sections, elevations, details, and sheets, and create and maintain Revit schedules, legends, tags, and annotations.
Prepare permit sets for submission to local authorities and CD packages for General Contractors.
Accurately pick up and implement redlines and markups throughout all project phases.
Coordinate Revit models with linked architectural backgrounds and adjust documentation as projects evolve.
Perform quality control to ensure consistency between models, drawings, and schedules.
Assist with Revit family creation or modifications when required, prepare PDF deliverables, and keep project files organized.
Collaborate closely with the client’s engineering and design team — communicating progress, resolving documentation issues, and following U.S. drafting standards and internal BIM workflows.
Support multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
What you must have:
3+ years of experience as a BIM Modeler, Revit Production Specialist, or Drafter.
Advanced to expert proficiency in Revit, with strong production speed and accuracy.
Experience working on residential multifamily projects.
Advanced English level.
Solid understanding of the full project lifecycle (SD through CD) and of technical documentation and construction documents.
A highly organized, detail-oriented, and methodical approach, with comfort following established standards, markups, and workflows.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to integrate with a U.S.-based team long-term.
Ability to become increasingly autonomous, taking ownership of the Revit production process after initial guidance from the engineering team.
A great plus:
Background in MEP, electrical, telecommunications, low-voltage, security systems, or other technical disciplines.
Experience creating or modifying Revit families, particularly for security devices and technology components.
Familiarity with U.S. drafting standards and BIM coordination workflows.
We’ve got the opportunity, you’ve got the talent. We want to hear from you! Apply now.
