Revenue Manager

Cherry Bekaert Recruiting is seeking an experienced Revenue Manager to lead revenue accounting operations and oversee a team of accounting professionals in a fast-paced, project-based environment. This role will be responsible for revenue recognition, billing oversight, forecasting support, and ensuring compliance with ASC 606 and internal control requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the month-end revenue close process and ensure accurate revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606.
• Lead and mentor a team of 4+ accounting professionals.
• Review customer billing, job cost budgets, and project billing schedules to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare and review revenue-related journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.
• Partner with operations and project teams to support forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning initiatives.
• Maintain strong internal controls and support audit requests by preparing schedules and documentation.
• Monitor project performance, costs, and contract activity to ensure proper revenue recognition and billing treatment.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong expertise with ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Previous management or supervisory experience required.
• Experience with billing, forecasting, job costing, and revenue accounting in a project-based environment.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and audit support.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
