Position Overview
The Revenue Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day revenue reconciliation and reporting processes across all Spotless Brands subsidiaries. This role manages a team of 3–6 Revenue Accountants and serves as the primary owner of revenue accuracy and integrity across 200+ locations. The Revenue Manager ensures that all point-of-sale (POS) data is reconciled accurately against financial records, investigates and resolves discrepancies in a timely manner, and maintains strict internal controls over revenue reporting. This position requires an exceptionally detail-oriented professional who thrives in a high-volume, multi-brand, multi-system environment and is committed to delivering accurate, timely financial data to support leadership decision-making.
Essential Functions (Other Duties as Assigned) |
- Oversee daily revenue reconciliation processes across all Spotless Brands subsidiaries and 200+ locations, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all revenue data.
- Manage, develop, and hold accountable a team of 3–6 Revenue Accountants; set clear performance expectations, provide ongoing coaching, and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Reconcile revenue data from multiple POS systems against bank deposits, gift card liability reports, membership billing platforms, and general ledger entries; identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for all POS system integrations and data feeds, working cross-functionally with IT, Operations, and brand-level teams to resolve system discrepancies.
- Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly revenue reports; ensure all reporting deadlines are consistently met.
- Monitor and maintain internal controls over the revenue cycle, including cash handling procedures, credit card settlements, refunds/voids, and discount/coupon redemptions across all brands and locations.
- Partner with brand operations teams to research and resolve location-level revenue variances; communicate findings clearly and escalate material issues.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes by providing accurate revenue schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation to the accounting and finance teams.
- Assist in the development and documentation of revenue-related policies, procedures, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability across the enterprise.
- Support internal and external audit requests by providing accurate revenue documentation, reconciliations, and explanations of variances.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field required.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years of direct experience with revenue accounting, revenue reconciliations, revenue recognition, and related accounting processes.
- 2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience required.
- Prior experience working with POS systems in a retail, hospitality, car wash, or service industry environment preferred.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) required; experience with subscription billing platforms a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel required (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, complex formulas, and data analysis).

- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy; ability to detect and resolve discrepancies in high-volume data environments across 200+ locations.
- Strong understanding of revenue reconciliation principles, including POS-to-bank reconciliation, deferred revenue, gift card liability, and credit card settlement processes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage, coach, and develop a team; holds self and others accountable for quality and timely deliverables.
- Proficiency with multiple POS systems and the ability to quickly learn new systems and data integrations; experience reconciling data across disparate platforms is essential.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to identify root causes of discrepancies and implement sustainable solutions.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to translate complex financial data into clear summaries for operational and leadership audiences.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Knowledge of GAAP revenue recognition principles and their application to service-based, subscription, and retail businesses.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Operations, IT, and brand-level teams in a collaborative and solutions-oriented manner.
- Primarily sedentary role performed in an office or remote work environment; prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer required.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment, including computers, monitors, keyboards, and phones.
- Occasional travel to Spotless Brands subsidiary locations may be required (estimated up to 10%).
