    AuthoraCare Collective is currently seeking an Revenue Cycle Coordinator - Home Health. Experience with Homecare Homebase (HCHB) and Waystar is required.

    This is a full-time remote position Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. Note: To be considered for this position, you must reside within the following states: North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia or Florida.

    Job Summary:

    The Revenue Cycle Coordinator - Home Health is responsible for supporting the financial performance of the Home Health division through insurance verification, authorization management, payment posting, and revenue cycle operations. This position serves as a liaison between intake, clinical operations, billing, and payers to ensure timely reimbursement, clean claims, and revenue integrity.

    Primary responsibilities include Home Health insurance verification, authorization management, eligibility review and payment posting. The position also assists with Home Health billing, accounts receivable follow-up, denial management, claim research, and other revenue cycle functions as operational needs require.

    Experience with Homecare Homebase (HCHB) and Waystar is required. Must be detail-oriented, organized, and possess strong communication skills. Works under the supervision of the Director of Revenue Cycle.

    Education and Experience:

    • Associate degree in Business or Healthcare Administration related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
    • Minimum two years of healthcare revenue cycle experience and one year of Home Health experience required.
    • Experience with insurance verification, authorization management, payment posting, Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care and Commercial insurance plans.
    • Experience using Homecare Homebase (HCHB) required.
    • Experience using Waystar clearinghouse required.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook required.
    • Other: Valid state-issued driver's license required. Must carry aHigh school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, coverage limitations, deductibles, co-payments, and authorization requirements for Home Health patients.
    • Obtain, manage, track, and renew prior authorizations to ensure uninterrupted care delivery.
    • Accurately document and maintain insurance and authorization information within HCHB.
    • Post electronic and manual payments and reconcile remittance activity.
    • Utilize Waystar and payer portals to review eligibility, remittance information, payment activity, and claim status.
    • Support Home Health billing activities as needed.
    • Assist with accounts receivable follow-up, collections, denial management, and reimbursement resolution.
    • Research denied, delayed, or underpaid claims and communicate trends to leadership.
    • Maintain compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, Commercial payer, and organizational requirements.
    • Participate in audits, reporting, process improvement initiatives, cross-training, and special projects.
    • Perform other duties as requested by supervisor and meet agency goals and expectations.
