Revenue Analyst

Examples of Duties

Under general supervision, performs financial analysis, accounting, compliance, research, and administrative activities to support revenue initiatives within the division. Prepares budgets and forecasts projected revenue. Conducts reconciliations. Generates reports and processes billing documents. Documents, validates, tests, and assesses various accounting control systems. Identifies risks and opportunities related to revenue. Assists in special projects and aids in the implementation of new processes and audits on an as-needed basis. Performs other job-related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field from an accredited four-year college or university required. Three years of full-time paid experience in the Accounting/Business or Consulting field in an analytical, accounting, statistician, financial, or technical role required. Should be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite and various accounting software packages. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 30 pounds. Valid State of Ohio Driver's License required.

Supplemental Information

Additional Duties:

  • Assisting taxpayers in-person, via e-mail, and over the phone;
  • Reviewing and processing returns/forms and payments
  • Reviewing weekly and/or month-end reports; and completing other related tasks.
  • May also participate in the process of conducting and monitoring various compliance and delinquency projects across the Division.
