Responsibilities:

    Position Overview 

    Arcfield is continuously seeking talented Engineering, Technical, Systems, Fleet Support, and Program Support professionals interested in supporting U.S. Navy, Submarine, Undersea, Combat Systems, Radar, Electronic Warfare, and related mission-critical programs. 

    This posting is an ongoing talent pipeline designed to connect with professionals whose experience may align with current or future opportunities. Positions may be available across multiple experience levels, from early-career professionals through highly experienced technical specialists and engineers.

    Experience We Are Interested In 

    Depending on the specific opportunity, relevant experience may include: 

    • U.S. Navy, submarine, undersea, surface ship, or Fleet support programs 
    • Submarine combat, fire control, weapons, or platform systems 
    • Electrical, computer, mechanical, or systems engineering 
    • Photonics, imaging systems, periscopes, and photonics masts 
    • Radar, RF, sensors, signal processing, or electronic warfare systems 
    • CANES, wireless networks, networking, or shipboard communications 
    • PCB design, electronics, hardware development, and component integration 
    • Hardware/software integration and system-level engineering 
    • Systems integration, verification, validation, and testing 
    • Troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and technical problem resolution 
    • System upgrades, modernization, obsolescence management, and technology refresh 
    • Laboratory, waterfront, shipboard, or Fleet support 
    • Test planning, procedures, execution, documentation, and reporting 
    • Technical documentation, drawings, schematics, specifications, and engineering change documentation 
    • Material, parts, logistics, or configuration support for submarine/Navy programs 
    • Program financial analysis and direct program support 
    • Working with multidisciplinary engineering and technical teams 
    Qualifications:

    Qualifications 

    Qualifications will vary based on the specific position and level. Candidates may possess a combination of: 

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, or another relevant technical discipline 
    • Associate degree, technical certification, military technical training, or equivalent hands-on experience for technician and technical support opportunities 
    • Relevant U.S. Navy, DoD, defense contractor, shipboard, submarine, or Fleet experience 
    • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills 
    • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering and program teams 

    Equivalent education, military training, and relevant professional experience may be considered depending on the requirements of the individual position. 

    Security Clearance 

    An active U.S. Government Secret security clearance is preferred for many opportunities but is not required for all positions. 

    Depending on the specific program or position, candidates may be required to be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance. Clearance requirements will be communicated for each individual opportunity. 

    Location 

    These talent pipeline opportunities are primarily intended to support our operations in the Middletown/Newport, Rhode Island area. 

    Many positions require onsite, laboratory, waterfront, shipboard, or other direct program support and therefore may not be eligible for remote work. 

    We are particularly interested in professionals who are: 

    • Currently local to the Middletown/Newport, Rhode Island area; or 
    • Willing and able to relocate to the area for the right opportunity.
