About the Position

The City of Tallahassee is seeking a Retirement Benefits Analyst to join the Office of the Treasurer-Clerks Retirement team. In this role, you will serve as a trusted resource for the Citys retirees, coordinating retiree benefit enrollments, terminations, and a range of routine and complex retirement benefit programs. This role calls for a professional who pairs analytical precision with genuine, hands-on customer service.

What Youll Do

  • Oversee daily enrollments and terminations for retirement benefit programs, meeting all time-sensitive and compliance deadlines.
  • Process and record benefit actions, including re-enrollments, Medicare enrollments, terminations, rate changes, and death notices.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for the Direct Pay Program and Medicare enrollment, coordinating with vendors and agencies.
  • Lead the annual Retiree Benefits Open Enrollment and Retiree Appreciation Luncheon and Dinner.
  • Maintain retiree benefit files and reconcile reports to ensure data integrity across payroll, enrollment, and vendor platforms.

Employment StatusFull Time

Minimum Training and Experience

  • Possession of a bachelor's degree in business or public administration, public relations, human resources, or a related field; AND
  • Two (2) years of experience in retirement administration, benefits calculation, benefits administration, fiscal administration.

Or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Necessary Special Requirements

Possess a valid Class E State drivers license.

Salary Range

$21.6689 to $58.7999/hourly

Hiring rate does not exceed $28.85/hour
