Job Title: Retail Store Clerk Comic Books
Location: Haltom City, TX
Work hour: 11:00am 7:30pm. (5 days per week, 40 hours total, including weekends and holidays)
Classification: Non-Exempt, Full-Time, Direct-Hire
Start Date: July 2026 ~
An international retail store is seeking a Full-Time Store Clerk who is passionate about comic books, anime, and stationaries. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys customer interaction and has a strong interest in books, comics, manga, and graphic novels.
This role is scheduled to start in July 2026 in preparation for an upcoming store launch.
Qualified candidates should have at least 1 year of solid retail experience, preferably in a full-time retail environment. The client is especially interested in candidates who already have experience as a Staff Lead, Supervisor, or Manager, and who can take on leadership responsibilities during the opening of the new store.
Responsibilities:
Ensure all store procedure is correctly handing based on company operation standards.
Secure a consistent, seamless, and positive customer experience.
Perform register sales transactions quickly and accurately with established cash control procedures.
Provide support to fellow employees through sharing of knowledge, helping to complete tasks and/or assisting in customer interactions.
Resolve customer concerns with customer satisfaction in mind and escalate any issue to store manager.
Develop and arrange promotional material and in-store displays.
Open and close the store, ensuring the safety of employees and customers.
Other duties assigned.
Qualifications:
Previous retail experience required, including handling merchandise and inventory
Strong interest in and passion for comics, books, anime, manga, or stationery
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with a strong sense of responsibility
Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
Full-time Store Clerk experience is strongly preferred
Store Lead, Supervisor, or Manager experience is a strong plus
Basic computer and POS system skills required
Ability to occasionally lift and carry 3050 pounds
