This could look like stocking the store, then jumping up to greet customers as they walk in, answering questions our customers have about products, and then politely transitioning to checking out customers at the other end of the store, then making your way back to answer more questions, then stocking the store again once the rush has ended. About the Role:
The Beaudega is looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join their team in beautiful Beaufort, NC! This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a local food, wine, and beauty retailer where you'll play a key role in delivering a great shopping experience every day.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner on the sales floor
• Process transactions accurately using point-of-sale (POS) system
• Stock, organize, and maintain product displays and shelving
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with receiving and stocking new merchandise
• Maintain a clean, safe, and visually appealing store environment
• Answer customer questions about products, pricing, and availability
• Support loss prevention efforts by following store policies and procedures
• Process and pack orders for pickup and/or shipping

Requirements:

• Previous retail, grocery, restaurant, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods, use a ladder, and lift up to 30 lbs
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented work ethic
• Basic math skills and comfort handling cash transactions
• Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
• Self-motivated and independent
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

We're looking for someone with an interest in and ability to become an expert at talking about and selling our merchandise, including wine, food, locally-made art, clothing, beauty products, and more. Although prior experience is not required and we offer on-the-job training, the job itself requires that you have the ability and capacity to work independently on multiple tasks throughout the day. Oftentimes, you will be required to multitask. This could look like stocking the store, then jumping up to greet customers as they walk in, answering questions our customers have about products, and then politely transitioning to checking out customers at the other end of the store, then making your way back to answer more questions, then stocking the store again once the rush has ended. We often receive multiple orders in a day, and you will be responsible for receiving, pricing, and displaying these items. After initial training, you will be expected to complete tasks and procedures on your own.

• Is uncomfortable with or unable to use a ladder, bend down, carry boxes, and/or stand for multiple hours at a time without breaks
• Is uncomfortable with or unable to multitask or jump from one task to the next
• Is uncomfortable with or unable to adapt to change
• Is uncomfortable with swear words or innuendos 
• Is uncomfortable with or unable to work on their own after initial training

This is a part-time job opportunity located in downtown Beaufort, NC. We are looking for someone with availability to work:
Wed-Sat: 3pm-7:45pm
Sun: 10:45am-6:15pm

Applicants must be able to work weekends and non-major holidays.

Because we sell alcohol in-store, applicants MUST be 18 years of age or older.
