Retail Media Buyer Shopper

The Retail Media Buyer, Shopper supports the execution, optimization, and measurement of retail media campaigns designed to drive shopper engagement, brand visibility, and business results. This role requires a foundational understanding of retail media platforms, campaign management, and performance analytics. Working closely with the Omni-Channel Marketing Manager, the Retail Media Buyer is responsible for translating retail media strategies into effective campaign execution, monitoring performance and budget pacing, and identifying optimization opportunities. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams, retailer media networks, and external partners to ensure campaigns are executed accurately, efficiently, and against established objectives.

What You Do.

• Campaign Execution: Set up, launch, manage, and optimize retail media campaigns across priority retailer media networks, ensuring campaigns are executed accurately and according to established plans and objectives.
• Campaign Quality Assurance: Review campaign setup, targeting, creative, budgets, and other campaign inputs to ensure accuracy prior to launch and throughout the campaign.
• Budget Management: Track campaign budgets, pacing, and invoices; identify potential over- or underspend and partner with the Omni-Channel Marketing Manager on necessary adjustments.
• Campaign Optimization: Monitor campaign performance and make in-flight optimizations based on established KPIs, best practices, and strategic direction.
• Audience Activation: Execute audience targeting strategies using retailer first-party data, shopper behavior, demographics, and purchase history.
• Performance Tracking & Reporting: Monitor key media and business performance metrics, identify key learnings, and support regular reporting and recommendations.
• Retail Media Partnerships: Work with retail media teams and technology partners to support campaign execution, troubleshoot issues, and stay current on platform capabilities and best practices.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Omni-Channel Marketing Manager, Brand Marketing, Sales, and other partners to support integrated retail media plans.
• Testing & Learning: Support testing initiatives across audiences, creative, placements, and emerging retail media capabilities; document results and key learnings.
• Industry & Competitive Awareness: Stay informed on retail media trends, competitive activity, and evolving retailer capabilities.

Your Education and Experience.

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in retail media buying, shopper marketing, or a similar role.
• Proficiency in managing retail media platforms (e.g., Kroger Precision Marketing, Albertsons Media Collective, Instacart, etc.).
• Experience with digital advertising platforms such as The Trade Desk and Google DV360 preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic understanding of retail media platforms.
• Basic understanding of analytics and data interpretation.
