Summary/Objective The Retail Marketing & Social Media Specialist serves as a member of the Marketing team and directly supports Green Country Habitat for Humanity’s (GCHFH) ReStore teams’ marketing, communications, and community engagement plans. This position is responsible for increasing awareness, shopping traffic, increased donations, and connecting Restore activities to GCHFH’s mission. Charged with tracking and reporting on the effectiveness of retail marketing efforts, the Retail Marketing and Social Media Specialist monitors and evaluates ReStore assets, social channels, and collateral for brand alignment. Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Brand Strategy, this role collaborates closely with the Vice President of Retail to remain responsive to evolving marketing needs for GCHFH’s retail operations. Essential Functions - Collaborates with the Director of Marketing & Brand Strategy to implement integrated marketing strategies for all ReStore retail operations.
- Coordinates GCHFH’s social media properties, including all ReStore platforms, to promote consistent branding and messaging, monitor engagements, and report on the effectiveness of retail marketing efforts.
- Maintains both GCHFH’s and ReStores’ social media calendars, cadence, and content to align organizational and retail goals.
- Develop a consistent training system to inform new ReStore employees of ongoing social media best practices, procedures, and desired outcomes.
- Works with the Senior Graphic Designer to create marketing collateral for ReStore advertising initiatives across social media, print, environmental graphics, and digital platforms.
- Serves as a liaison to the Vice President of Retail for campaign communications across all retail store locations.
- Works directly with the Data & Marketing Communications Specialist to connect ReStore initiatives with Habitat’s local media database to foster positive relationships and coverage of GCHFH’s ReStores.
- Identifies and promotes new opportunities for community relations events with the Development and Community Engagement Specialist.
- Reviews Google accounts and the Green Country Habitat website to ensure current and accurate retail communications.
- Consistently reviews ReStore signage, collateral displays, marketing materials, and digital assets to ensure they support retail goals.
- Participates in cross-functional planning and execution of GCHFH events, leveraging community partnerships and donor relationships to drive mission impact and organizational growth.
Experience / Education - Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Communications, Graphic Design, Public Relations, English, or Marketing
- 2-3 years of professional experience directly relevant to the job functions
- Experience writing and producing social media assets for a variety of print and digital platforms
- Social media management experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, project management tools, and digital newsletters
- Other preferred qualifications include experience with graphic design, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, storytelling, public speaking, web content editing, and Spanish language skills.
