ABOUT THE ROLE

The Retail Manager will bring the Amara experience to life by leading the daily retail operations of the Golf Shop while creating a welcoming, engaging, and elevated shopping experience for residents, members, guests, and prospective members.  Through thoughtful merchandising, strategic buying, inventory management, and exceptional customer service, you will curate a retail environment that reflects the quality, style, and hospitality that define the Amara experience.  Working closely with the Head Golf Professional and Club leadership, you will develop retail strategies that enhance member satisfaction, support Club programming, and contribute to the overall success of Golf Operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Five (5) or more years of progressive retail management experience, preferably within a private club, luxury hospitality, golf, resort, lifestyle, or premium retail environment.
• Demonstrated experience in merchandise buying, assortment planning, inventory management, visual merchandising, vendor negotiations, and retail financial management.
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to recruit, develop, coach, and inspire high-performing teams while fostering exceptional customer service and accountability.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and business acumen with experience interpreting sales reports, inventory metrics, budgeting, and retail performance indicators.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills with a passion for luxury hospitality, personalized service, and creating memorable shopping experiences.
• Proficiency with retail point-of-sale systems, inventory management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other retail technology platforms.
• Ability to work in fast-paced high-touch environments.
• Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and varied schedules as needed.
