Retail Clerk

We’re looking for Retail Clerk professionals to join our team in Girdwood, Alaska. 
 
What You’ll Do 
 
As a Retail Clerk, you’ll provide customer service in the Resort's five retail outlets: Alyeska Mountain Shop, Sundry Shop, Glacier Gifts and Gallery, Sitzmark, and Max’s and play a vital role in ensuring a pleasant and safe experience for our guests. 
 
Your responsibilities will include: 

• Assist guests in locating merchandise. 
• Possess a functional knowledge of outlet's products and inventory. 
• Operate point of sale system, making change, reconciling cash/credit at close of shift. 
• Restock, price, and merchandise product. 
• Maintain a clean shop. 
• Inventory and shipping. 
• Other duties as assigned.

What We Need 

• The successful candidate must have POS and cash-handling experience. 
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.   
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.  
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.  
• The following are additional essential elements of the position: Work weekends & holidays on a flexible schedule.   
• Any employee over 21 years of age is required to have a valid TAPS card.

 Be on alert and at times, on your feet for long periods, including nights, weekends, and holidays. 
 Work in a fast-paced, high-energy resort environment.
