Job description
Mandatory Hours:
Mon- Fri 8:15AM to 1:45PMÂ
Mon- Fri 1:45PM to 7:15PMÂ
&
Option 1: Saturday: 10:00AM to 4:00PM
Option 2: Sunday: 10:00AM to 4:00PM
Pay Frequency: Bi-Weekly
Responsibilities:
- Delivers outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries (most important)
- Continuously practices good listening skills with customers, UPS Store team members, and leadership
- Takes ownership of the customer's shipping needs and offers viable solutions
- Takes action to learn all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends
- Operates all equipment, software, and devices in an expert fashion and is willing to teach others
- Maintains a clean, organized, and safe working environment
- Stays current with web based training and best practices
- Empathizes and manages demanding, impatient, and/or frustrated customers to turn a stressful event into a positive experience
- May open and/or close the store and perform end-of-day accounting, etc.
- Packages shipments for safe arrival, including assembling stock boxes, building custom boxes, and properly cushioning contents
- Takes ownership of customers’ packing, shipping, and/or print problems and offers viable solutions
Skills:
- Good computer skills, emails and Microsoft Office.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, and math
- Prompt, reliable, and responsible
- Must have reliable transportation
- Should become a notary (Expenses will be taken care)
- Prior UPS store associate experience is not needed
Additional Good To have
- Prior UPS store associate experience
- POS Knowledge: Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems and ability to process transactions accurately
