Retail Associate

Experience handling customer transactions, operating a cash register, assisting customers, maintaining merchandise displays, restocking products, and maintaining a clean and organized sales floor is beneficial. This role works closely with store management and fellow associates to assist customers, process purchases and returns, maintain merchandise, and keep the store clean and organized.

Position Overview:

The Retail Associate is responsible for providing an excellent customer experience while supporting the daily operations of the HomeGoods store. This role works closely with store management and fellow associates to assist customers, process purchases and returns, maintain merchandise, and keep the store clean and organized. The position also supports merchandising, loss prevention, safety, and store recovery efforts while adapting to changing business needs. The Retail Associate may be cross-trained in multiple areas of the store to provide support where needed.

 

This position is located in Staten Island, NY.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide friendly and professional customer service by engaging with customers and assisting with questions or needs.
• Accurately process customer purchases, returns, and exchanges while following established procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming sales floor and store environment.
• Process, prepare, and replenish merchandise according to company standards and merchandising procedures.
• Support store recovery efforts by organizing merchandise and maintaining proper presentation throughout the day.
• Promote company credit and loyalty programs while providing customers with relevant information.
• Follow all operational, safety, loss prevention, and company policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with store associates and supervisors to support daily operations and respond to changing business needs.

Requirements:

• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Experience handling customer transactions, operating a cash register, assisting customers, maintaining merchandise displays, restocking products, and maintaining a clean and organized sales floor is beneficial.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Must be flexible, dependable, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Must be flexible and willing to work in multiple areas of the store as needed.
• Ability to lift and move merchandise and other heavy objects, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must have open availability for days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Pay Range: USD $17.00 - USD $17.50 /Hr.
