    The Retail Assistant Manager supports the store manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. This role involves supervising a small team of 5-10 employees, assisting with staff scheduling, and actively participating in inventory management through regular monitoring and reporting. The assistant manager is also responsible for staff training and development, focusing on onboarding new hires and ongoing skills enhancement, while maintaining visual merchandising and cash handling standards.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Supervise and support a team of 5-10 employees
    • Assist with staff scheduling to optimize coverage
    • Train and develop new and existing staff members
    • Maintain visual merchandising standards
    • Handle cash and transaction procedures accurately
    • Monitor and report on inventory levels regularly
    • Ensure excellent customer service and resolve issues as needed
    • Manage shipment receipt and stock placement

     

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Entry-level experience in retail management
    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Customer service expertise
    • Visual merchandising skills
    • Cash handling proficiency
    • Inventory management experience
    • Staff training and development skills
    • Strong communication and leadership abilities
