ALIYA on 87th is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Restorative Assistant to support the facility's restorative nursing program. The Restorative Assistant works closely with nursing staff and therapy services to help residents maintain or improve their functional abilities, independence, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with restorative nursing programs designed to maintain or improve mobility, strength, range of motion, and activities of daily living.
- Carry out restorative interventions according to individualized care plans and established nursing instructions.
- Assist residents with walking, transferring, positioning, range-of-motion exercises, and other restorative activities.
- Encourage residents to participate in activities that promote independence and functional ability.
- Monitor residents' progress and report changes in condition or functional status to the nursing team.
- Document restorative services provided and resident participation accurately and timely.
- Work collaboratively with nurses, CNAs, and therapy staff to ensure consistency in resident care.
- Follow proper safety procedures and infection control practices.
- Maintain a supportive and respectful environment that promotes resident dignity and well-being.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a CNA in a skilled nursing facility preferred.
- Active Illinois CNA certification preferred.
- Previous restorative nursing or rehabilitation experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of basic nursing care, mobility assistance, and activities of daily living.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with residents and interdisciplinary team members.
