PuroClean of Bluffdale - The Paramedics of Property Damage - is seeking an experienced Restoration Project Director to oversee property damage restoration projects from post‑mitigation transition through full reconstruction completion. This role is ideal for a disciplined, detail‑oriented leader who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and takes ownership of operational and financial outcomes.
About the Role
The Restoration Project Director serves as the operational and financial owner of each file once emergency services are complete. This position ensures clear homeowner communication, accurate documentation flow, disciplined budget control, and efficient reconstruction execution. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and confident in leading both field teams and subcontractors. The position is fully remote aside from a weekly in-person production meeting.
Key Responsibilities
Mitigation Oversight & Documentation Control
Conduct homeowner introduction call within 24 hours of mitigation start
Set expectations for insurance, documentation, and timelines
Serve as approval authority for scope deviations, category changes, equipment adjustments, demolition, and escalated field decisions
Ensure mitigation scope matches the loss and documentation is complete
Review and approve photos, moisture logs, daily notes, sketches, and scope clarity
Submit organized documentation to the Estimator and review completed estimates for accuracy
Reconstruction Conversion & Client Alignment
Confirm homeowner intent to proceed with reconstruction
Explain reconstruction scope, timeline, and expectations
Maintain proactive communication during estimate submission, review, approval, and supplement stages
Manage expectations regarding deductible, depreciation, and payment structure
Reconstruction Project Execution
Create detailed work orders and build/manage reconstruction budgets
Assign work to subcontractors and schedule trades in proper sequence
Manage timelines, prevent delays, and conduct quality control inspections
Maintain margin targets and approve subcontractor invoices
Process change orders and ensure permits are obtained when required
Financial Management & Collections
Track committed costs vs. approved estimates
Collect deposits, manage progress payments, and coordinate depreciation
Secure final payment and ensure no job closes with an outstanding balance
Closeout & Carrier Communication
Send final photos and Certificate of Completion to adjusters
Confirm documentation completeness and supplement resolution
Close files internally once payment is received
