Position Summary
Plan, direct and coordinate the activities of the Dining Room Bar. Manage and coordinate all beverage inventories.
Start Date & Training
Anticipated start date and training for our newly renovated restaurant will begin in early November.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Education & Experience
High-school graduate or GED equivalent required; vocational school preferred. May be required to obtain licensing in order to serve alcohol. Valid Arizona Food Handler's card. 3-5 years experience in the service industry and some supervisory experience required. Bartending experience preferred. Working knowledge of liquor, wine and other beverages preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Good customer contact skills. Able to interact successfully with a variety of people in person and by telephone. Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as memorization skills in retaining information. Must be confident of skills and have the ability to make sound, independent decisions when appropriate; have the willingness to adjust to and conform to varying schedules; have excellent communication skills; and be able to get along well with others.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time while taking orders, using computers for entering and processing orders, have good communication skills (i.e., communicate clearly and effectively in both written and spoken English). Must be able to lift or move kegs weighing up to 160 pounds - maintaining cooler and bar stock requires bending as well as carrying and/or lifting materials. Performing movements which require considerable movement of arms, legs and moving entire body such as lifting, balancing, walking, stopping, and handling of materials. Must be able to work in a well-lighted, temperature controlled work area. Must be able to see and work with customers and work in open area with other employees. Will come in contact with alcohol, cutlery, graters, slicers, rangers, and heat, chemicals and cleaning solvents as necessary.
