Restaurant Sous Chef

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Restaurant Sous Chef to join our culinary team at the Ravenwood Golf Club Restaurant. This position is perfect for a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced work environment and is eager to contribute to a high-quality dining experience. Responsibilities include assisting with food preparation, kitchen organization, and ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards.

Essential Functions:

• Assist in the preparation and execution of high-quality dishes in a timely manner
• Ensure food is consistently prepared and presented according to restaurant standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to all safety and sanitation regulations
• Monitor food storage, rotation, and waste management to minimize costs and ensure freshness
• Assist in menu development, including daily specials and seasonal offerings as needed
• Uphold high standards of food quality and customer satisfaction

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a kitchen setting, preferably in a restaurant or golf club environment
• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen safety
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain) is a plus
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Working Conditions

• Able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
• Able to stand 100% of the time.
• Occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat, and water.

Hourly rate commensurate with experience: $24.00-26.00/hr
