Responsibilities
Picture yourself as a Host at Big Sky Resort, with the opportunity to:
- Greet guests with genuine warmth while managing the host stand with a smile
- Set the pace and flow of the dining room through excellent communication and smooth table coordination
- Make positive, memorable first impressions with every interaction
- Follow systems and procedures for guest seating, ensuring timely and accurate placement
- Keep the host stand and entry areas organized, polished, and inviting
- Support servers and front-of-house teammates by stepping in wherever needed
- Develop and share local knowledge of Big Sky Resort to enhance the guest experience
- Learn and follow our Boyne Standards and Boyne Basics to better serve our guests
Qualifications
Recipe for Success:
- At least 1 year of experience in the hospitality industry
- A strong passion for service and a guest-first attitude
- An outgoing, upbeat personality with confident communication skills
- A high-level understanding of dining room operations and table flow
- Calm, collected energy under pressure with strong attention to detail
- Clean work habits and a prideful approach to maintaining organized spaces
- Adaptability to fast or steady paces depending on guest traffic
- Commitment to consistency and established procedures
- Availability for early morning, mid-day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts
- Ability to lift, push or pull at least 35 pounds
- Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours
- Must be able to climb stairs multiple times per shift
- Must be able to carry a full tray with either hand
