We re looking for someone who loves hospitality, knows how to build a strong team, and understands what it takes to run a successful restaurant. The right person will be hands-on, organized, financially aware, and comfortable leading from the floor.

Responsibilities include:
- Lead and support a team of approximately 9 -11 employees
- Oversee breakfast, espresso, bar, and weekend evening operations
- Recruit, hire, train, schedule, coach, and retain staff
- Create clear standards for hospitality, service, cleanliness, and consistency
- Be highly visible during service and lead by example
- Build a positive, accountable, and professional team culture
- Manage scheduling and labor to match business levels
- Manage inventory, purchasing, receiving, and waste control
- Monitor food cost, beverage cost, labor, sales, and other key operating metrics
- Review financial performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability
- Maintain strong food safety, alcohol service, and health-code compliance
- Oversee cash handling, POS procedures, and daily reporting
- Handle guest feedback and resolve concerns thoughtfully
- Maintain strong communication with the Commodore Hotel team and ownership
- Help develop opportunities to increase revenue, particularly during evening service
- Support a consistent experience across breakfast, coffee, bar, and dinner service
We re looking for someone with:
- Previous restaurant management experience, ideally as a General Manager or strong Assistant General Manager
- Experience managing a full-service restaurant, bar, caf , or similar hospitality operation
- Strong leadership and staff-development skills
- An understanding of labor management, scheduling, inventory, food cost, beverage cost, and P&L fundamentals
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Comfort working closely with both front- and back-of-house staff
- A genuine interest in hospitality and guest experience
- Ability to maintain high standards while keeping the environment welcoming and approachable
- Willingness to work mornings, weekends, and evenings as the business requires
Experience with breakfast service, espresso, craft cocktails, wine, boutique hotels, or Scandinavian-inspired food would be especially valuable.
