    RESTAURANT GENERAL MANAGER$27–$30 per hour | Full-time | Overtime eligible | Performance bonusWe are hiring experienced Restaurant General Managers to lead Firehouse Subs restaurants in Portland’s westside suburban area, generally west and south of I-217. We have multiple openings. The specific restaurant assignment will be discussed with qualified candidates.This is a hands-on leadership position with full ownership of the restaurant’s people, operations, guest experience, and financial performance. We are looking for proven operators who build strong teams, follow through without constant reminders, and understand that a General Manager is accountable for the entire business—not just the shift happening in front of them.COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS• $27–$30 per hour, based on experience• Overtime paid at 1.5 times the regular hourly rate• Typical schedule of approximately 45 hours per week• At $27 per hour with five overtime hours weekly, estimated annual earnings are approximately $66,690 before bonuses• Performance-based bonus opportunity• Weekly pay• Medical, dental, and vision insurance• Paid time off• Paid training• Closed on Easter, Thanksgiving, and ChristmasWHAT YOU WILL OWN• Recruit, hire, train, coach, and retain a dependable restaurant team• Develop assistant managers and shift leaders who can run strong shifts without the GM carrying everything• Build accurate schedules on time and adjust staffing to sales while maintaining service standards• Manage labor, food cost, inventory, waste, cash controls, and controllable expenses• Understand the restaurant P&L and take corrective action when results miss expectations• Maintain food safety, cleanliness, equipment, and Firehouse Subs operating standards• Ensure prep, opening, closing, catering, and administrative responsibilities are completed accurately and on time• Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns• Drive sales through excellent operations, local relationships, catering, and community involvement• Communicate clearly with ownership and escalate urgent concerns appropriately• Create a culture of accountability, recognition, teamwork, and heartfelt serviceWHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE• The restaurant is properly staffed, trained, clean, safe, and guest-ready• Schedules, payroll, inventory, reports, and follow-up are completed correctly and by deadline• Labor and food costs are actively managed—not explained after the fact• Managers know their roles and employees receive timely coaching• Guest issues are resolved quickly and recurring problems are corrected• The GM knows the numbers, has a plan, and follows throughQUALIFICATIONS• At least three years of restaurant-management experience; QSR or fast-casual experience strongly preferred• Prior General Manager experience preferred• Demonstrated experience with scheduling, hiring, training, labor control, inventory, and P&L management• Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills• Willingness to work alongside the team during peak periods• Availability for day, evening, weekend, holiday, and occasional emergency coverage• High school diploma or GED• ServSafe Manager certification, or ability to obtain it promptly• Ability to meet the physical requirements of restaurant operations, with reasonable accommodation where applicableThis position is employed by an independent Firehouse Subs franchisee.
