    About the Role

We are seeking a polished, people-first Restaurant Excellence Trainer to join our growing Field Operations team.

We're scaling equipment installations across California and need someone who can help restaurant teams get the most out of their equipment.

You'll be onsite during installations, training kitchen staff on best practices, implementing customer-specific procedures, and making sure teams can operate the ChronoGrill confidently and consistently.

In this role, you will be the face of Gastronomous inside our customers' restaurants. You'll be on-site for ChronoGrill installs throughout Southern California, training crew members, shift leads, and managers to run the grill the right way! You'll teach each customer's own operating standards and best practices as they apply to ChronoGrill and hold the line on them until they stick.

This is a customer representative role that calls for a detail-oriented professional who builds trust quickly, commands the attention of busy restaurant teams, and teaches with patience and precision — in both English and Spanish.

¿Hablas inglés y español con fluidez? Este puesto es para ti: capacitarás a los equipos de cocina en ambos idiomas, directamente en el restaurante.

    Responsibilities

    Training & Go-Live

    • Be on-site for ChronoGrill installs to train crew, shift leads, and managers on daily start-up, loading, operation, cleaning, and shutdown procedures.
    • Deliver hands-on, station-side training in English and Spanish, adapted to each audience and shift.
    • Verify competency before sign-off — every trainee demonstrates the procedure, not just hears it.
    • Support go-live shifts until the crew runs the grill confidently without assistance.

    Customer Best Practices & Standards

    • Learn and apply each customer's operating standards, food-safety requirements, and brand procedures as they relate to ChronoGrill.
    • Reinforce correct use procedures and correct deviations on the spot — professionally and consistently.
    • Conduct follow-up visits and spot audits to confirm procedures are sustained after install.
    • Identify operator-driven issues (missed cleaning, incorrect loading, misuse) and coach them out before they become service calls.

    Relationship Management

    • Serve as the primary on-site Gastronomous representative for restaurant managers and crew.
    • Build lasting relationships with store managers, area leaders, and customer training teams.
    • Handle concerns calmly and professionally, and escalate technical issues to the service team.
    • Observe restaurant workflows, identify gaps, and coach staff toward better results

    Training Content & Documentation

    • Develop and maintain bilingual training materials: quick-reference guides, checklists, visual job aids, and short training videos.
    • Record training completion and competency sign-offs for every location and trainee.
    • Share field insights with Service, Product, and Engineering teams to improve usability and reduce operator error.
    • Coordinate with installers and service technicians so training is scheduled around each deployment.

    Skills & Qualifications

    • Experience in restaurant operations, kitchen management, staff training, or hospitality leadership.
    • Fluent in English and Spanish, both spoken and written.
    • A confident, commanding teacher who holds attention in a busy kitchen and adapts to any learning style
    • A natural relationship builder who earns trust quickly with crew and management alike
    • Dependable, and meticulous — you notice when a step gets skipped, and you address it
    • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to consistent execution.
    • Solid understanding of QSR kitchen operations and food safety;
    • Comfortable learning new equipment and teaching standardized procedures.
    • Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record
    • Access to a personal vehicle
    • Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites through out California
