Location: Could be based in Spencer, Spirit Lake, Sioux Center, or Sheldon, IA.
Pay Range: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
Status: Full-Time, 40 hours per week
Schedule: Flexible, mostly days, afternoons, and evenings during the week, occasional weekends, no overnights
About the JobThe Respite Provider will plan, coordinate, and execute fun, engaging, and therapeutic activities for kids in a 1:1 or group setting. Respite provides parents and guardians a break from caregiving, while also providing the peace of mind in knowing their children are safe and well cared for.
Requirements
- An associate’s degree or completion of at least two years (60 hours) of coursework towards a Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, or a related field is required
- Some experience working directly with individuals with behavioral health concerns is required
- Some experience working with children is required
- Must be willing and able to submit health history record forms
- This position requires regular travel in agency vehicles, so a valid driver’s license is required
- A current First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain one is required
