Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Credentials: - Graduate of an NBRC-approved Respiratory Therapist program is required. - Education must be obtained from an accredited institution.

Unit Details: - Provides advanced-level respiratory care to diagnose, evaluate, treat, manage, and control deficiencies and/or abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system within the prescription of the ordering physician. - Performs, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic testing procedures according to protocol; obtains arterial gases; oversees and troubleshoots equipment operation; initiates respiratory protocols according to department criteria; initiates interventions based on assessment interpretation; and administers medications. - Acts as a resource, consultant, and mentor to staff within the department and patient-care areas through development of others. - Teaches patients and families self-care techniques and modalities. - Participates in quality improvement and research activities as part of the Respiratory Care Team to guide the development of standards of patient care. - May be responsible for special clinical projects or assignments designated according to department needs. - Uses low-census time for productivity activities when patient load does not support full productivity.

Shift & Scheduling: - May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.

Floating Requirements: - May be required to float to other departments within the scope of competency and qualifications based on business need.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years

Proof of identification required
